I’ve made book page ornaments in the past, but I thought I’d give it a try using something a little firmer. As I was looking through a box with various holiday odds and ends, I came across several Christmas cards that hadn’t been used. I liked that they were made out of heavy brown card stock. I thought they would be perfect for this little project. I also made some out of old cards that we had received. While those don’t match, they still make a pretty ornament if you have ones that are similar.
Any similarly colored cards will work well for this. It’s on my to do list to buy a box of cards from the Dollar Tree to make more of these. These are easy to make and will be a pretty addition to a tree.

I like that using the heavy card makes the ornament feel much more substantial than the ones I’ve made from book pages.
