A holiday party is a great time to serve delicious cocktails! I’m lucky that Gloria loves to create new cocktail recipes and she’s great at mixing the classics, too. These three Festive Christmas Cocktails are some of our favorite holiday drinks.
Cinnamon Appletini
I love cinnamon so when Gloria first made this caramel cinnamon appletini last year, I was hooked! Rum and apple liqueur blend well with cinnamon schnapps.

Caramel Cinnamon Appletini
Ingredients
- 1 oz Caramel Sauce
- 1 oz Apple Liqueur
- 1/2 ox Rum
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon Schnapps
- 3 jiggers Ginger Ale
Instructions
-
Combine caramel, rum, apple liqueur, and cinnamon schnapps in a glass and stir.
-
Add ice to cocktail shaker.
-
Pour mixture into shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
-
Pour into martini glasses and top with ginger ale.
-
Garnish with swirl of caramel sauce if desired.
Santa Shimmer
This is not only a delicious drink, it’s a pretty one, too!. Viniq makes several varieties of their liqueurs. Ruby is a blend of strawberry, red berry, and tropical orange flavors combined with vodka and moscato. It’s a tasty liqueur and the shimmer is quite lovely. Gloria’s cocktail adds more vodka, pineapple juice and tonic water to Viniq Ruby for delightful Christmas cocktail that we’ve named the Santa Shimmer.

Santa Shimmer
Ingredients
- 3 Jiggers Viniq Ruby Shimmery Liquer
- 1 Jigger Vodka
- 1 Jigger Pineapple Juice
- 1/3 Cup Tonic Water
Instructions
-
Mix Viniq, Vodka, and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker. Pour over ice. Top with tonic water. Garnish with strawberry or cherry if desired.
Festive Holiday Punch
If you’re not from the south, you may not be familiar with Cheerwine. The name is a bit deceiving because it is a cherry soda, not wine. It’s a staple in the south and until recent years, it was only sold in the south. Now, it can be found throughout the country, but I don’t think it’s gained a lot of popularity in most areas.

Festive Holiday Punch
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Vodka
- 1 Cup Rum
- 3 Cups Ginger Ale
- 3 Jiggers Simple Syrup
- 4 Cups Cheerwine
Instructions
-
Combine all ingredients into a large punch bowl and stir gently to blend. Pour over ice. Make sure to serve soon after making the punch. The soda will go flat if let to sit.
Any of these cocktails are sure to be a hit at your holiday parties!
We’re trying to decide which of these we’ll serve over the holidays. I have a feeling that all three of them might make an appearance! My favorite is the caramel cinnamon appletini. Gloria likes to create a new cocktail each Christmas, so I’m looking forward to what she comes up with for this year.
