Do you love watching the Olympics? There are some sports that I always want to see and others that don’t really capture my attention. If you’re planning on having a get together with friends to watch some of the games, a refreshing cocktail in blue is a great choice for sipping while you’re cheering, “USA! USA!” If you’re not into watching the games or cheering on Team USA, this cocktail is a delicious, refreshing drink to enjoy without an occasion! Enjoy this Patriotic Cocktail!
This is another of Gloria’s original cocktail recipes. She made this for our 4th of July party this year and she dubbed it, “Let Freedom Ring!” I think for the Olympics, we can call it “Team USA!” As with most of her cocktail recipes, she tries a little of this and a little of that until she has the portions just right.
Ingredients:
4 shots of Champagne
2 Shots of Pineapple Juice
2 1/2 Shots of Blue Curacao
1 Shot Vodka
Combine all ingredients except champagne in a cocktail shaker. Shake to blend. Pour into glass and top with champagne. Add ice cubes to chill.
Garnish with blueberries and strawberries if desired. Gloria tends to think a drink is just not complete without a garnish. They do make any drink prettier to serve.
This was another hit with us! The pineapple juice enhances the flavor.
Give this a try during the Olympics as you’re cheering on Team USA!
We party with some awesome bloggers. We’ll be sharing at these great parties.

I love watching, too. There are lots of things about the way the Olympics are staged that I don’t like, but I’m always drawn in to watch the amazing athletes. This is a delicious cocktail! Thanks, Laurie!
