Yellow is one of my favorite colors and I love finding ways to create seasonal decor using it. This lemon decor tablescape is great for summer or spring.
Lemon Themed Summer Table Setting

Table runners can be expensive to buy and I often have a hard time finding one that is the right size for my pub height breakfast nook table. I’ve seen lots of tutorial for sewing your own, but what do you do if you aren’t a seamstress? You figure out a way to make a DIY No Sew Table Runner.
I didn’t want to purchase any new dishes for my yellow and white summer table setting, so I searched through what I had on hand. The white dinner and bread plates from Dollar Tree have been very durable and you sure can’t beat the cost of them. I needed something yellow though and I didn’t have any yellow plates.
Since this is a causal table setting, I’m never opposed to using plastic or paper plates for the accent color. I purchased a package of heavy duty yellow paper plates that are a perfect shade of yellow.

To add more pops of yellow, I’m using yellow napkins placed beneath paper plate. There are lots of fun napkin folds, but since this is such a busy tablescape, the best look was a simple one.

The idea to create a tablescape using lemon decor pieces began when I started putting together this Floral Centerpiece. The flowers and the candle are all from Dollar Tree, the vase is a thrift store find that got a yellow coat of paint, and vintage milk glass cake stand is one that I’ve had for years. Adding in some fresh lemons was the finishing touch that it needed.
Pretty straws are always a nice addition and good way to add more color to your table setting. I prefer to use paper straws like these yellow and white spirals. For a tasty summer drink, a Limoncello cocktail is always a hit. Check back soon for the easy recipe.

I paired the yellow and white pieces with silver flatware that has a cute circle pattern on it. Coasters are a must for table settings for me and I love making my own. These Lemon Print Coasters started as Dollar Store wood discs with a spring pattern on them.
The wine bar that is near the table is a spot that I enjoy decorating with coordinating colors and themes with the table. I shared several super easy DIY Lemon Themed Decor Pieces that you can make in minutes.
I’m so looking forward to having some summer parties this year after the summer we had last year! Our guests will be welcomed with this sunny yellow and white table.

Your summer tablescape is lovely, Beverly! I really like those adorable tea light holders. Finger’s crossed our local Dollar Tree store here in Canada has them in stock.

Thanks, Marie! I’m enjoying it. I hope you can find the tea light holders. They still have them online. I wish they sold items like this in something other than a case of 24!
