These are just plain metal sconces that we embellished to hold flowers at the reception. I removed the embellishments and then gave it a coat of spray paint. I used Krylon Cover Maxx in Blue Ocean Breeze/Gloss.
I hot glued strips of burlap to the top and bottom and added a lace overlay. I didn’t like how the bottom of the burlap looked on the top part, so I added a small piece of ribbon.
I added loops of lace to the center of the sconce with hot glue, then made a silk flower and added a rolled burlap rosette with a pearl head pin.
I found the flowers at JoAnns and of course, used a coupon. Does anyone shop at craft stores without a coupon? No! The total cost for the flowers was $6.00.
For now, I’ve placed this in one of our guest bedrooms that has blue/peach decor.

Thank you, Laurie! I need to find a use for the rest of them! Maybe they will come in handy for some 4th of July decor.

That sounds like an interesting idea using them for 4th of july! Maybe a star bouquet instead of flowers . . . can’t wait to see what you come up with!

That’s a good idea! I’ll have to watch for the sales to begin on patriotic craft materials! I’m sure it won’t be long.
