I don’t start fall decorating until the official beginning of fall-that’s also Gloria’s birthday. I usually wait until the day after her birthday to bring out the pumpkins, but after being stuck at home due to flooded streets and having no internet connection for a few days, I started early this year! Our internet service has been coming and going. Here’s hoping we will stay connected! This Simple & Budget Friendly Fall Decor was put together using a thrift store mirror and other inexpensive items.
I bought this mirror at my local Goodwill several months ago. I’ve found several there that were all very reasonably priced. This one was around $2.00.
The candle holders are also Goodwill finds. They were priced at .99 each. I spray painted them gold using Krylon Color Master Metallic paint. I’ve had them for a while and used them last year in my Thanksgiving Tablescape. The small pumpkins were purchased last year at Walmart.
This look is all about layering. I started by using some Dollar Tree leaves to cover the mirror. I added the candle holders near each end.
I have to say I was delighted to find these cloth pumpkins at the dollar spot at Target. I was surprised that they were only $1.00 each. I bought some in this greenish-blue color and a few in off white.
The gold acorns were the most expensive part of this fall decor. I found them at Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft. They were on sale, but even on sale the bag of them was around $4.00.
This will be a pretty fall focal point on my buffet.
I’m using flameless candles mostly for safety reasons, plus I already had them. I can leave them on even when we’re not using the room.
It doesn’t take much money to create a one of a kind fall decor piece.

What a gorgeous Fall display/vignette, love every bit of it that made this all possible. Love how you combined everything, so elegant. inspires me to do something like that on our buffet.
Our Goodwill in Grand Junction is so expensive, every time I go there hear people complaining about retail prices. Only go on sr. discount day but is still too expensive for many items. We live few miles west of Grand Junction so don’t go to thrift stores or Target as often. Wonder if any of those pumpkins like yours would be left? Oh well, if not have been making some fabric pumpkins so won’t matter. Found enuf Fall fabric to make a few. Haven’t ever made any before so will be addition to my decorations. Made some really little ones using saucer for template, will be good fillers.
Enjoy your lovely decorations, happy weekend.

I love how you’ve styled the tray! The great thing about Fall decor, you can reuse it from year to year. Your tray is nicely layered. I’m seeing a lot of gold painted nuts around, so it must be a new trend. Thanks for sharing at Sweet Inspiration!
