Making breakfast on Christmas morning can be challenging with all of the activity going on. Making a breakfast pizza is an easy way to serve a hearty breakfast.

One of the best things about this recipe is that it only has a few ingredients and requires only a little prep.

Brown and crumble six sausage patties. This can be done the day before and it can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you’re ready to create the breakfast pizza on Christmas morning.

Spread a sheet of puff pastry onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Curl the edges up to form a ridge.

Make an egg wash (1 egg + 1 tsp water) and use a pastry brush to coat the pastry.

Cover the pastry with shredded cheese. I used cheddar, but any cheese that you prefer would be great.

Add a layer of crumbled sausage over the top of the cheese.

Whisk eggs and slowly pour over the sausage and cheese toppings. Top with more cheese.

Pop the breakfast pizza into the oven after preheating it to 425°. Allow it to bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

The cheese topping may be my favorite part of the dish.

Slice the pizza into squares and serve.

Using puff pastry means you’ll have a light and flakey crust that pairs well with the sausage, eggs, and cheese.
