I’ve been busy making some new ornaments over the last week. It started with my wood craft glam and rustic ornaments I made for the 2015 Ornament Exchange. After making those, I was well on my way to being all in on getting ready for the holidays. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing lots of Quick and Easy Christmas Ornaments that are easy to make and budget friendly.
I bought a package of wood craft snowflakes and one of them was larger than the others and after looking it over for a minute or two, I thought the snowflake looked a lot like antlers. This quick and super easy Reindeer Snowflake can be made in about 30 minutes.
The first thing I did with the snowflake was paint both sides gold. Once it was dry, I hot glued a red berry for a Rudolph nose.
I used a black paint pen to add dots for the eyes and mouth. I made a small bow and hot glued it in place.
I cut a small length of gold twine and glued it into a loop on the back.
I added a snowflake charm to finish off the back.

Gold Spray Paint
Faux Red Berry
From start to finish, this took about 30 minutes, including the time for the paint to dry. This is a DIY ornament that anyone can make quickly. It would be a fun craft to do with children, too. They could hand paint it instead of spray painting it and all they would need is help with the hot glue.

Is everyone getting into the holiday spirit? I heard my first Christmas song on the radio this week and I saw a couple of trees already up! I’m all for planning ahead, but I’d rather not just skip right over Thanksgiving!
When do you put your tree up?
