In honor of Pi Day, I’m bringing back a couple of my favorite quick and easy pie recipes. Both of these pies can be made in just a few minutes and you’ll only need a few ingredients. These are my go to desserts not only when I don’t want to spend lots of time preparing pies, but since they are both delicious, I make them often.
You may have seen these recipes from me before, but since it’s Pi Day, I thought it would be a good idea to bring them back again. My husband, an engineer, thinks Pi Day should be celebrated by everyone. I’m not sure I agree with that, but I can definitely agree that it’s as good a day as any for indulging in some delicious pie!
The Strawberry Lemonade Pie is the easiest dessert ever! Three ingredients plus a pie crust is all you’ll need. You don’t even need to use a mixer for this, making clean up one bowl and one spoon. It doesn’t get much easier than that! If you’re looking for a calorie friendly version, use fat free condensed milk and one of the lighter cool whip products.
1 eight ounce tub of Cool Whip
1 fourteen ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid mix
1 graham cracker pie crust
Add all the ingredients together in large bowl and mix by hand until well blended. Spoon into pie crust. Chill for two hours and you’ll have a delicious, quick, and easy dessert.
I’ve made this using lots of Kool-Aid flavors. All of them have been delicious! I almost always have the ingredients on hand, so it’s easy to whip one of these up whenever we need a quick dessert.
The second pie is one of my all time favorites! If you want to serve a dessert that looks and tastes like you spent a long time preparing it when it actually only took about five minutes to put together, then this is for you. It’s rich and creamy and melts in your mouth, but I don’t think there is a chocolate dessert out there that could be much easier to make than Hershey Bar Pie. Serve it on a fancy plate and it looks decadent.
6 1.55 oz Hershey Bars
2 TSB Butter
1 16 oz tub of Cool Whip
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 9 inch Ready Crust- I prefer chocolate graham crust
Cover and refrigerate for two hours
My family has been making this pie for years. I’ve taken it to lots of pot luck dinners and people always ask for the recipe. When I give to them, they’re always surprised at how easy it is to make.
