Here’s another easy project that’s going on the wall in my home office/craft room. This Peacock Decor Wall Art piece adds a personal touch to the space. Using a thrift store frame and a wood letter, this wall art is going to look great with the other peacock decor of the room
I’ve had this wood B for a while. It was painted gold so it needed a quick paint job. I used Waverly Chalk Paint in Peacock.
It got two coats of paint.
I’ve got plenty of peacock feathers left from the peacock birthday party that Gloria put together for me last year. I cut a couple of them to the appropriate size and added dots of hot glue to keep them in place. I covered the end tips with peacock appliques that I also used on the thrift store card holder makeover.
This frame matches the ones I used for my Simple DIY Peacock Decor. The frames were all purchased at my local Goodwill Store. You can’t beat the prices of frames that you can find there! I found a package of card stock on sale at Jo~Ann Fabrics and Crafts that has several different designs, all in the perfect color for the room.
Using a paper cutter, I trimmed the card stock down to size.
I used the same brush on, wipe off technique for this frame that I used for the smaller frames.
I like that some of the gold shows through.
This goes well with the two smaller peacock decor pieces.
I added a line of hot glue along the back of the letter and mounted it onto the card stock. For very little money and less than thirty minutes of time, I have a personalized peacock decor piece. How simple!
