Welcome to week number seventeen in our One Good Thing Series. Each Friday, we will be choosing one good thing from the week prior to highlight. While lots of good things can be found throughout the week, this is a place to spotlight one in particular. It might be something as simple as a great meal we had or a blog post that inspired us. It could be something awesome that happened in our lives or in the world around us. It might be something related to our blog. Some will be from Gloria and some from Beverly. They will all be short snippets of what made us stop and think “Well, that was a good thing!”
We would love to have others share their own One Good Thing.
This week’s One Good Thing for me came today. I’ve mentioned that I’m in the process of giving one of my rooms a makeover. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive coffee table for this room that I can paint to match the decor I’m going with. I had a certain style in mind, but I hadn’t found what I was looking for at a price I wanted to pay until today. I stopped by Goodwill and found the perfect table. It’s in really sturdy condition. It has some scratches and needs to be cleaned. Of course, I have more in mind for it than just cleaning it! It’s solid wood with a dark stain on it. No laminate! Yay! It’s the style I wanted and I can’t wait to get started on giving it a makeover. Aside from it being the right piece in good condition, the price was way better than anything I had hoped to find. It was $12.00!! It’s going to be a great addition to this room.
That’s my One Good Thing for the week. What’s yours? We’d love to read about it!
Have a great week!
