Create your own nautical napkins using the Cricut Easy Press. These are easy to make and they are perfect for a summer coastal tablescape.
Coastal decor is great all year for me, but I especially love to create summer decor with a nautical theme in mind.

I’m putting together a nautical themed tablescape for the summer and designing napkins for the table was an inexpensive alternative to get the look I wanted.
Nautical Napkins DIY
I purchased a set of six buffet napkins at World Market when they were on sale. You can find reasonably priced napkins at Amazon, too. The first thing I did after unpackaging them was to iron each one of them. I used my Easy Press for this.
The table setting that I’m putting together has lots of details, so I needed the napkins to have simple designs. I searched for nautical images in Design Space and found several that I liked. After thinking about which one to use, I decided to do two of each design.
Be sure to use the Mirror tool when cutting Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV).
The anchor was very easy to weed since it didn’t have any cutout pieces. It’s positioned in place on the napkin before pressing.
Following the Cricut Heat Guide, I set the Easy Press to 315° and pressed for 30 seconds, flipped the napkin, and pressed for 15 seconds. The liner was removed after it was cool to the touch.
The knotted nautical rope was a little more challenging to weed, but I took my time and it turned out great. I often seem to get in too much of a hurry and end up having to re-cut designs. I hope I’ve learned my lesson!
The heat settings were the same as before and it turned out just as I hoped it would.
The lighthouse was also easy to weed with a few simple cutouts.
I was pleased that I found this design because the table setting uses lots of lighthouses.
Since I had the HTV on hand, I didn’t have to purchase anything other than the napkins.
Using an Easy Press to dress up plain napkins is a fun way to use napkins you may already have on hand. I’m planning ahead for fall and winter now and thinking of what designs I want to use for those seasons on some napkins I have.
I’m happy with how these turned out and I love how they look on my Nautical Summer Tablescape. If you love coastal and nautical decor, be sure to have a look.
