Making this Merry and Bright Christmas Party Caddy was an easy makeover for the caddy that I used for Halloween. It’s a fun way to hold paper and plastic plates that we’ll use for snacking throughout the season when we have guests over.
One of the things I love about having a Cricut is that I can change the designs on items that I’ve made for seasonal decor. You might have seen this caddy with its Halloween look. In that post, I mentioned that this caddy was a Goodwill find. It’s great to be able to use it for more than one holiday. Once Halloween was over, I removed the vinyl giving me a blank slate to work on. I searched for Merry & Bright images in Cricut Design Space and found one that I loved.
After resizing the image to fit the caddy, cutting and weeding it, I was all set to give the caddy its Christmas look.
I added a ribbon border just below the lip of the caddy all the way around. It’s hot glued in place on the back of the caddy.
I’m using a theme of Merry & Bright for our breakfast nook area this season, so the caddy is a fun addition. I added white and red jingle bells to the caddy handle. They are tied in place with a small piece of red twine.
I was excited to have found some paper napkins with Merry & Bright on them to go with the look.
The caddy holds paper and plastic plates and some over sized decorative wine glasses.
I made the Have a Cup of Cheer Chalkboard sign using Saral Transfer Paper last year for the Hot Cocoa Bar I had set up in this spot. I have some hot cocoa and apple cider K cups, along with mugs and wine glasses on the top of the wine rack this year.
