I don’t do a lot of decorating for Valentine’s Day, but I do enjoy adding a little Valentine’s decor around our home. This Hearts & Stems Valentine’s Decor is easy to put together and is simple and pretty decor piece. I’ve seen variations of this often done with a farm house style in a pretty pitcher. While farm house decor is lovely, it’s not a style that I incorporate into our decor. A clear vase, some artificial stems and felt hearts combine to fit into my style.
I searched through my stash of Dollar Tree flowers and found several stems that were great for this project. I pulled off the flowers and spray painted the stems white, leaving the leaves on. That did not turn out well!
I decided to pull the leaves from the stems and go with gold spray paint. I liked this look much better.
I used these felt stickers on my Hidden Messages Valentine and had a lot of them left over.
Using a combination of colors and sizes, I attached the felt heart stickers to the stems. I attached them back to back.
A simple gold ribbon is hot glued around the vase and I added vase filler gems in clear and gold.
Now, I’m just deciding where I want to place it. I’ve tried it near the front door on a small table with a small thrift store mirror under it.
I also like it on our coffee table.
I especially love that this was put together using items I already had on hand.
