Strawberry Lemonade is a perfect beverage for summertime. It’s easy to make your own and it’s delicious! It also makes a tasty mixer for summer cocktails.
When you’re entertaining this summer, you can make a pitcher of it and your guests can add their favorite liquor. It mixes well with both rum and vodka.

Strawberry Lemonade for Summertime
You’ll want to make sure that you have very ripe strawberries. That will make it easier to process them in a food processor. After you wash and hull the strawberries, juice 7 to 8 lemons.
Add the strawberries to a food processor along with simple syrup.
Blend for a couple of minutes and add in water. Continue to blend and add in water until the strawberries are completely liquified.
Strain the strawberries a little at a time using a strainer over a large bowl.
After juicing 8 lemons, add the juice to the mixture.
Add in simple syrup and stir. You’ll want to do a taste test at this point to determine if it’s sweet enough. If you want it sweeter, add in more simple syrup until you have it just the way you like it. You’ll be adding more water, so keep that in mind while you’re tasting it.
You can easily make your own simple syrup if you don’t have a bottle of it on hand.
Make your own simple syrup with equal parts sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
We wanted to keep it a little tart, so we only used 1/4 cup of simple syrup. Pour the mixture into a pitcher and add more water. Stir to combine it. Chill for at least one hour before serving.
Next you’ll add a sparkling water to the pitcher. We use S. Pellegrino, but any brand will work well. Stir the mixture prior to pouring.
Add ice to glasses and pour the strawberry lemonade over the ice.
If you’re using this strawberry lemonade as a cocktail base, pour it over ice and then add a shot or two of your favorite liquor. I prefer rum while Gloria prefers vodka.
This is a delicious drink for any patriotic parties you might be hosting this summer.
