Need a quick and easy summer treat? Decorate Nutter Butter cookies with an easy flip flop design. You can put together a tray of these in only a few minutes.
This can’t be called a recipe, but it is a great way to easily add a fun flip flop look to ready to eat cookies.
Easy to Decorate Flip Flop Nutter Butter Cookies
I’ve seen lots of variations of flip flop cookies. Some of them are quite elaborate. I prefer quick and easy! Using writing gel and candy flower sprinkles means you can have these ready for a summer party in just minutes. Apparently, this particular package of Nutter Butter cookies went through the stacking process wrong. One layer of the cookies was upside down. I haven’t seen a whole package like this before. Quality control must have taken the day off when these were made!
I flipped them over to use the top side. The only thing that took a little time was separating the candy sprinkles to use matching ones for each set of flip flops. The sprinkles I had on hand included an assortment of styles and colors.
You’ll need the following items to make Nutter Butter Flip Flop Cookies
- 1 Package Nutter Butter Cookies
- 1 Tube of Writing Gel
- Assorted Candy Flower Sprinkles
Easy to make flip flop design on cookies
- Gently squeeze the writing gel into a V shape on the cookie
- Add a candy flower sprinkle to the center of each V
- Allow the gel to set before serving
These are so simple to put together, but they are such a fun addition to a summertime party. Kids will love them and they could easily help decorate them, too.
