Easy Prep Taco Salad is perfect for those nights when you want to put together an easy meal that’s sure to please the family. All of the ingredients except the ground beef can be prepped ahead of time and refrigerated until it’s time to serve. Spend a few minutes browning the ground beef and dinner is ready!
I’ve seen variations of a taco salad online and for mine I picked a few of them and added to and changed them to suit my family’s taste. That’s one of the great things about this recipe. You can pick and choose ingredients that you love.
Make Easy Prep Taco Salad for a Quick and Easy Dinner!
Quick Prep Taco Salad
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning Mix (don’t add water)
- 1 bag Shredded Lettuce
- 1 large Tomato (diced)
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Cup Taco Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Scallions (chopped)
- 1 Cup Nacho Cheese Doritos (broken into pieces)
To prepare ahead of time, dice the onion and tomatoes and store in sealed container in the refrigerator. Add Doritos to large resealable bag. Break the Doritos into small pieces inside the bag. Store until ready to use.
Brown the ground beef. Add the seasoning packet. Stir. Do not add water as called for on the packet.
Add ground beef to a large bowl. Add Taco Sauce to ground beef. Stir.
Add scallions, tomatoes, and cheese to ground beef mixture. Stir.
Add lettuce to mixture and toss to blend all together.
Add the crumbled Doritos last and serve immediately after adding them.
Add more taco sauce over the top of salad when serving if desired.
