Making Christmas ornaments is one of my favorite holiday crafting activities. This year, I’m adding a four foot flocked tree to our upstairs landing and it’s going to be done in farmhouse style.
DIY Farmhouse Ornaments

I gathered the supplies that I planned on using for these farmhouse ornaments, including hot glue, paint, ink pad, stampers and bows. The discs came from Michaels. They are very heavy duty cardboard.

Each disc was given two coats of black paint. Each ornament is made using two of the discs.

Using Skinny Bold font in Design Space, I cut and weeded Noel, Peace, Joy, and Love for the ornaments. The bows were purchased at Walmar.

The vinyl words were added to each ornament using transfer paper.

The second disc for each ornament was stamped with either a tree or a Christmas bauble.

I added a small ribbon loop between the two discs for hanging. The ribbon is glued to one of the discs and then the discs are glued together.

The final step is to add the bows. These are hot glued in place.

I love how these turned out and how easy they were to make!

They look great on the flocked tree and the black gives a nice pop against the white.

You can use wood discs, chipboard discs, or heavy cardboard discs to make these. If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can find adhesive letters to use that would work well, too.
