I don’t do a lot of decorating for Halloween, but I do like to have a few fun decor pieces on display. This Easy Halloween Wreath was made with mostly items from the Dollar Tree and didn’t take long at all to put together. It’s easy to create a one of a kind, budget friendly wreath.
I love creating budget friendly seasonal decor pieces. I had the wire wreath form and the small broom in my craft stash. I purchased the candy corn scarf, black mesh fabric, sign, and ribbon at the Dollar Tree.
For this wreath, I used a 16″ wreath frame. I thought about covering it with some Poly-fil to give a a fuller look, but that turned out to be more trouble than it was worth.
Start with the black mesh fabric by wrapping it around through the wreath form. I tucked it between the wires to keep it in place.
The fabric is wrapped as far around the form as it would go and tucked in place at the end.
Next, I followed the same steps when adding the candy corn scarf.
I love this Halloween sign that I bought last year. It’s hot glued onto the wreath at the top where the two fabrics meet.
The small broom is also hot glued to the wreath. It was previously purchased at the Dollar Tree.
I tied a bow of orange ribbon around the broom handle and layered on the purple ribbon.
From start to finish, this took less than 15 minutes to make. I love the whimsical, fun look of it.
Our neighborhood doesn’t have nearly as many children as it once did. Nevertheless, I still like to make our outdoor space inviting for those who do come trick or treating.
