I don’t go all out for decorating for Valentine’s Day. I do like to create vignettes and set a pretty table. This trio of hearts decor piece adds just a little touch of seasonal decor to our foyer table.
Trio of Hearts Sign
I had all of the items I needed for this on hand in my craft stash. The plaque came from the Dollar Spot at Target last year and the small wood craft hearts came in a package of six at a dollar store. I’ve used the heart with “Love” on it as a coaster to go with the wine glass heart charms I made a few years ago. The pearl beads are also from my craft stash.
Since our foyer usually has copper accent pieces, I didn’t want to use a bright pink or red for this decor piece. Searching through my paint stash, I found this sunkissed peach bottle that was just the look I wanted.
The two hearts both got two coats of paint and to cover the holes near the top, I glued on pearl beads.
I decided not to paint the “Love” heart because it matches the plaque well. I just added a bead to it.
To dress up the hearts a little more, I used a piece of a strand of craft pearls. Tiny dots of hot glue hold it in place.
The string is hot glued to the back of the heart.
For placement on the plaque, I used a skewer as a guide. They are glued onto the plaque.
The “love” heart is glued to the frame of the plaque.
This was such an easy piece to put together and it’s definitely budget friendly.
I’m happy with how it turned out and how it fits in nicely on the foyer table.
