I’ve seen lots of variation of “JOY” in frames. Mine are easy to make and using dollar store frames helps keep the cost low.
Supplies Used for Joy Art Using Dollar Store Frames
- Dollar Store Silver Frames
- Card Stock
- Wood Craft Letters
- Spray Paint
- Floral Stems
- Red Twine
- Scissors
- Glue
These are simple 5×7 metal frames from Dollar Tree. Since they are silver, they didn’t need to be painted. I bought the JOY letters at Walmart for less than $1 each.
I used silver spray paint that I already had on hand for the letters. I used RUST-OLEUM American Accents Bright Metallics Silver designer finish.
I had this Christmas scene craft paper left over from last year. You could also use wrapping paper or a Christmas cards. I measured and cut pieces to fit inside each frame.
Using a floral berry pick that I had in my craft stash, I wound red twine around the brown stem and glued it to the frame.
The final step was to glue the letters onto the glass of each frame. Not counting the time it took for the paint to dry, the project took less thirty minutes to put together.
