Making a set of DIY Snowflake Napkin Rings to go with my snowman tablescape was an inexpensive and very easy 10 minute craft. I used items from the dollar store to put these together.

I love how my snowman tablescape for our breakfast nook turned out. This area is usually done using holly and lots of traditional red and green decor, but over the summer I spotted these adorable snowman dinner plates in an unopened original box at Goodwill. They were only four dollars! I knew then that I’d be changing the look for this space this holiday season. But after I put it all together, I realized it was missing napkin rings.
After a quick Pinterest search for snowflake napkin rings, I decided to make some similar to these from an Etsy shop called My Mandy Crafts. The ring itself is hand crafted by this shop. To make mine, I started with a package of rings from the Dollar Tree.

Snowflake Napkin Rings DIY
You’ll only need a few supplies to make snowflake napkin rings and you can find them all at Dollar Tree.
Supply List for Snowflake Napkin Rings
- Silver Plastic Napkin Rings – You can find simple napkin rings at Oriental Trading (affilate)
- Glittery Snowflakes – You can also find similar glittery snowflakes at Oriental Trading. (affiliate)
- Jewel Wrap
- Hot Glue
When I said this was very easy, I wasn’t kidding!
- Cut strips of jewel wrap to fit around the rings
- Use small dots of hot glue to secure the wrap to the ring
- Add hot glue to the center of the back of the snowflake and glue it to the wrap
- Cut one jewel from the wrap and glue it to the center of the snowflake
I only needed four of these for our breakfast nook table, so it only took a few minutes to make them. If you need more, you’re still only going to spend a short amount of time making them. At this busy time of year, who doesn’t need quick and easy decor ideas?
These snowflake napkin rings go great with all of the blue, white, and silver that I have on the table. Once I made them, I changed out the blue napkins seen below for white napkins.
Another easy way to dress up a table cheaply is to use a crate, vase, or any kind of container. The crate is an item I purchased at Goodwill a few months ago. It’s just the right size for this. I filled it with some glittery white garland, added some faux snow and topped it with mini ornaments. I added snowflakes that match the napkin rings to the sides of the crate.
The snowman table setting with diy napkin rings along with the Snowflake Tree for a Small Space makes this breakfast nook area bright and cheerful!
