Hosting a party and keeping the decor for the party on a low budget can be challenging. But, using these Budget Friendly Flamingo Party Ideas kept the cost low. I used a combination of DIY projects and dollar store items. I added a couple of items from Party City to complete the fun look for the party.
I had so much fun putting together this flamingo party. My guests all loved the decor, too. The centerpiece of the table was my Let’s Flamingle Thrift Store Find Makeover Using Vinyl. I added coasters and ceramic flamingos to the tray. I used white serving dishes and some teal plastic plates that I already had on hand.
I was shopping at Ross recently and this set of flamingo salt and pepper shakers caught my eye. They were $2.99.
I couldn’t resist these “Flocktails” coasters when I spotted them at Party City. 18 of them came in a pack for $2.99.
Who doesn’t love the dollar spot at Target? I found these fun plastic flamingo dessert plates there. Four came in a set for $3.00. I purchased two sets of them. I’m going to be using them all summer. They are too fun to only use for the party. The large napkins were purchased at the Dollar Tree and the smaller ones from Party City. They were $2.27 for a package of 16.
I set up a drink station next to the party table on the top of our wine bar. I added some rock candy, pink straws, and a combination of glasses and plastic cups from the Dollar Tree. The flowers were from Mother’s Day and still looked great.
I was delighted to have found a package of flamingo cocktail stirrers at my local Dollar Tree. The store also had these paper cups. I used the cups to hold the stirrers, appetizer picks, and I had some empty ones on the table for guests to use.
These colorful drink dispensers also came from the Dollar Tree. Using these makes it easy for your guest to serve themselves.
Isn’t this little guy adorable? I found this at the Dollar Tree. The wings move under direct light.
My DIY Flamingo Candle Holders were a fun addition to the party table. You can find the simple tutorial here.
Party City had a large package of colorful appetizer picks. There are 200 picks in an assortment of colors. I used the teal and pink ones for my flamingo party table.
To add an easy and tasty treat to the party table, I bought a package of Strawberry Wafer cookies and used CandiQuick for dipping.
My guests were here for dinner and while the meal didn’t have any flamingo flair, our dessert did. I served this triple layer ice cream crunch cake. You can find the instructions here. Mine didn’t turn out quite as pretty as that one, but it was delicious. It’s a combination of Neapolitan ice cream sandwiches and three flavors of ice cream with a crunchy layer of crushed cookies and Magic Shell between the ice cream layers.
Putting together a fun and festive party table doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money. I love seeing things in stores, like the tray, and then making them myself to save money. Shopping at a dollar store and party city for items kept the cost of party supplies low.
