I’ve always thought that napkin rings are the finishing touch to any tablescape. I don’t always use them though if the setting already has lots of elements or if I want the design on the napkins to show well. My Fall Dining Room Tablescape with Copper Accents have pretty napkins that didn’t need napkin rings.
DIY Beaded Napkin Rings for Fall

To make a set of DIY Beaded Napkin Rings, you’ll need beads, cording, scissors, and an embellishment piece.

Since I wasn’t sure which size cording would fit best with the beads, I bought two sizes. I’ll save the extra for another project.

The craft beads that I chose have three different shades of neutral. Using the color variations makes the rings look better than solid colors.

Start by threading a few beads onto the cording in the pattern that you want the rings to have. Mine go from medium to dark to light.

Once you have a section threaded, tie a double knot at one end of the cording to keep them from slipping off as you work.

Continue adding bead clusters until you have reached a length that is long enough to make a napkin ring that will slide easily over a napkin.

Tie the ends of the cording together to bring the beads into a circle. When I reached this point, I thought these could make cute bracelets, too.

Snip the excess cording off as close as you can without cutting through the knot.

The package of craft leaves have different styles of leaves in them. I bought these at Dollar Tree, so it was inexpensive to buy two packs to get the ones that I wanted to use.

Add a small dot of hot glue to the leaf and press it onto the beaded ring. Hold it for a about thirty seconds to make sure it adheres well.

I like using two styles of leaves, but you could make them using all using the same style.

My fall table setting for our breakfast table is done using lots of neutrals. I had a floral centerpiece on it in an amber vase, but decided to switch that out with the Dollar Tree Wire Basket Centerpiece I made.

I love how these turned out and how simple they are to make. They have just the right look for this casual neutral fall tablescape.
