Keeping our bathroom drawers and storage areas well organized is an ongoing project. I start out with really great intentions, but after a while, I revert to the lazy way of storing things. I’ve spent some time sorting through, purging, and organizing the drawers in our master bathroom as well as the counter top and under the sink areas. The goal is to keep it this way!
Welcome to Week 3 of the Drawer Organization Blog Hop! For the entire month of April, a group of bloggers will be sharing the process of cleaning and organizing drawers in our homes each week. This week, we’re focusing on bathroom drawers!

Office / Craft Room Drawer Organization
Today, I’m sharing a simple way to keep our bathroom drawers organized along with some make-up storage ideas. In our master bath, we have only three drawers. That’s not ideal, but we’ve made it work. There is ample storage beneath each sink, so we make good use of that space. The three drawers can get cluttered though.
The middle drawer is the neatest and I’m kind of embarrassed to tell you that’s the one drawer that I don’t use. That one has been designated as my husband’s drawer and apparently he keeps it neater than the other two that we share.
I used a few Dollar Tree bins to organize the top and bottom drawer. I left his drawer as is. The idea is to keep similar items contained in each bin or drawer.
The other storage issue I have in our bathroom is my make-up storage. Since there isn’t enough drawer space, I use a couple of bamboo trays on the raised counter next to my sink. I’ve been using these for a while and instead of keeping it all well organized, I’ve let it get pretty messy.
About a year ago I subscribed to Ipsy and that means each month I receive a bag that has an assortment of sample sized products. That can really pile up in no time! My solution was to purchase a small storage drawer bin to use for the items that I don’t use frequently and to store the newly arrived items in until I’m ready to try them. That opened up more space in the bamboo tray for products I use often. I placed the drawer bin under my sink and while I was in an organization mood, I took the time to sort and organize the under the sink area, too. I added a tray to hold medicines and I cleaned out and sorted through a basket that holds lots of bath items.
One of the bamboo trays is long and narrow. I use glass jars that I purchased at the Dollar Tree to hold make-up brushes, nail files, and cotton swabs.
Once I removed lots of the not often used products from the larger tray, there was plenty of room for it to hold all the items I want close at hand.
When your bathroom doesn’t have a lot of drawers, it’s easy to come up with some alternative ways to store items. Using bins, trays, and baskets can help keep everything organized.

Great minds think alike. I use jars in my bathroom too. Had to laugh at your comment about your husbands drawer. Mine doesn’t have a drawer of his own. You are generous! I have come to realize that we could not run our home without those fabulous plastic bins to keep our drawers organized! I think I should just keep some on hand in the utility closet at all times.

I know, right? Those dollar tree containers – jars, bins, vases- are all so handy for storage. I’ll have to tell my husband that! I agree with you-without the bins I don’t think I could have done nearly as much organizing as I’ve done.

My husband’s drawers are always much more organized than mine too, but I’m saying it’s because they don’t have as many products to store as us. At least that’s my story!! I love the look of your organized drawers and the vases!

That must be the reason! Our stuff has to have room to expand. Thanks, Amanda. I’m enjoying having it all sorted out.
