Today is Day 8 for our Holiday Ideas. If you’ve missed any of our previous posts, you can find them by clicking below.
Today we’re all sharing pot luck food ideas. Appetizers, side dishes, sweet treats, and more. It’s great to find new recipes that we can make and take to parties, holiday lunches, or to serve at our own gatherings. I’m sharing an easy appetizer recipe that only takes a few minutes to make.
Bacon and Cheese Phyllo Cup Appetizers
These can be made ahead and popped in the oven once you’re guests arrive or you can cook them at home to take to a party, re-heat them there if you can, or serve at room temperature if you can’t re-heat them. I’ve tried them all three ways and they are tasty bite sized appetizers served hot or at room temperature.
I wouldn’t leave them out for more than a couple of hours since they are made with sour cream.
To make Bacon and Cheese Appetizers, you’ll only need a few ingredients.
- Petite Diced Tomatoes
- Shredded Cheese
- Bacon Pieces
- Sour Cream
- Phyllo Cups
I buy frozen Phyllo Cups and since this recipe calls for baking them, there is no need to thaw them first. The prep time for this is about 5 minutes which is always great for the holidays when we’re rushing to get things done.
Spray a baking sheet with non stick spray and pop them in the oven for 15 minutes.
If you’re taking these to a party, place them in an airtight container. They can be re-heated in the microwave for a minute or so before serving if they have cooled.
